Unintentional Portraits (2007 - 2010)
The Unintentional Portraits started as my self appointed role as an observer and recorder of ordinary life. I shoot to capture people unaware of the camera, yet still trying to get a glimpse of who or what they are about. My intent is to photograph the unintentional. The resulting portraits challenge the viewer to discern more of the subject than is visually offered. What are the thoughts, concerns, loves, ideas, or feelings of these random people during such seemingly ordinary events? We associate ourselves during the process of this observation, wondering how we look to others on a daily basis. Chances are at least one of these people is very much like yourself. Look closely and find out.
